Caroline Doty '08
Germantown Academy graduate Caroline Doty '08 was inducted into the GA Athletic Hall of Fame on November 8, 2018.
- Four-year varsity letterwinner in three sports - soccer, basketball and track
- Scored 28 goals in 28 games as a freshman soccer player
- Set personal records in High Jump (5’5), 4x4 relay (2:53.09)
- Set the GA record in the Shot Put (33-02.25)
- Averaged 16.2 points, 8.2 rebounds and 3.0 assists as a junior
- Selected to participate at NIKE Skills Academy twice
- Named 2007 and 2008 Parade Magazine second-team All-American
- 2007 Boo Williams All-Tournament Team
- Led GA to three-straight Inter-Ac League Championships (2005–07)
- Guided the Patriots to a pair of Inter-Ac Tournament titles
- Named 2007 2A First Team All-State
- 2007 Pennsylvania State Player of the Year
- Named 2006-07 Times Herald Girls Basketball Player of the Year
- Ranked 10th overall in the 2008 graduation class
- Ranked first overall as a guard by ESPN
- Selected to play on the USA Basketball Team in Colorado Springs
- Named 2007 Intelligencer Player of the Year
- Earned Philadelphia Inquirer Second Team honors in 2006
- Named Philadelphia Inquirer 2007 Player of the Year
- Named Markward Club 2008 Co-Player of the Year in Southeastern PA
- Earned 2006 First Team Associated Press honors
- Named First Team Associated Press MVP in 2007
- Two-time Street & Smith’s Sporting News All-American (2007 and 2008)
- Two-time outstanding offensive player award winner at GA
- Earned GA Somebody’s Hero Award in 2008
- Verbally committed to UCONN in November 2006
- Led team to 182-11 overall record during playing time
- Started 130 out of the 133 games played
- Member of three NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball National Championships
- Visited President President Obama three times at the White House
- Attended the ESPYS twice with UCONN teammates
- Currently works for Nike in Oregon and continues to play for a club team called Nike Girl’s Only
- Serves as captain of the basketball intramural team at Nike
- Volunteers with Big Brother Big Sister program and Special Olympics
- Coaches 8th Grade girls basketball team
