Kyle Rankin '85 had a remarkable career in cross country and track at GA He holds the school record in the mile with a time of 4:26, the two mile with a time of 9:46.2, and the cross country 3.1 mile with a time of 16:06. A captain of six varsity teams, Rankin led GA to league titles in cross-country in 1983 and 1984. He was also an Inter-ac champion in cross country - twice for the two mile and once in the mile. He went on to run for the University of Tennessee's National Track Championship Team.
