FORT WASHINGTON -- Four student-athletes from the Inter-Ac League Champion Germantown Academy boys and girls swimming and diving team earned National Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association All-American recognition, the association announced Thursday (June 20). The four selections are a program record.
Libby Brewer '25 opened the season with back-to-back first-place finishes in wins over Lawrenceville and Agnes Irwin School. The junior picked up a pair second-place finishes at Inter-Ac Championships, scoring 254.8 points, and Easterns Interscholastic Swimming and Diving Championships, with 453.50 points.
Laurel DePolo '25 picked up a trio of first-place finishes during the season, and finished fourth at Inter-Ac Championships. Two weeks later, she became the second female diver from GA to win the Easterns Diving Championship, scoring 468.80 points.
After finishing fourth at Inter-Ac's and eighth at Easterns a year ago, Maddie Evers '26 placed first and third, respectively.
Brendan Hodgens '24 dove in seven competitions during the season, finishing first in five. The Georgetown signee was crowned Inter-Ac Champion, and wrapped the season with a second-place finish at Easterns.
